A dandy Warhol

Andy Warhol : Other voices, other rooms. Exhibition at the Hayward Gallery.
I got told off, for taking pictures of pictures. Oh, the irony...
I like Warhol and his use of repetition. I have wrote many a crap art-school essay on the man.
I liked the urgent envelope best, with '33 Union square' etched really big. I wonder who sent that?

Facing some of my demons...

I just noticed these in the (IPC) Blue fin cafe'
A quick re-cap: As a small child, I had nightmares about the Monster Munch, monsters or whatever they were. I couldn't eat them for yonks, so to speak. Well, the years past and now being a prevailer of the various varieties that Monster Munch have created. well, they have brought back the old school packet... No doubt, part of a clever media marketing ploy - to cash in on the never ending 8Os revival.
So there they were, on the shelf. like a Victorian intrepid hunter, I saw this as the big game hunt.
55 pence they cost me, and the verdict? Well, they tasted disgusting, somewhere in between a Vesta curry and a bag ladies foot. I imagine all the nasty additives inside them, will awake me in the we early morning hours too. However, I feel I stand triumphant and if I could hang one of those grinning monster heads over my fire place or as a hide, in front of the fire place. Well, it would make an outstanding momento of the occasion.

Loaded Laftas : after show-ish, type thing

Oh well, that’s how it is in this game. One minute you’re rolling with the big dogs, drinking the finest champagne, known to humanity. Then the next minuet, you’re standing in someone else's piss.
The day after the AOP’s, I popped along to the Loaded Laftas, after show drink up. This was a low key affair in a pub ( I think I was honoured a free pint; the times are a changing ). Anyway, the Mike Strutter band played at the event, earlier in the day. I know the bass player from Skidmore’s stag do. I got talking to a few of them and we pretty much talked about the indie wars and Heave_ oddly enough?. A good time was had by all and I ended up queuing in the loo, standing in other peoples piss. Marvellous...
