The Dupe room. 1994

One from the archive. Steve Parker. Retna pictures, The Dupe Room. 1994.
I can still actually hear the slide machine (pictured) noise and that disturbing printer (not pictured). Every now and then, certain smells will remind me of photographic E6 chemicals. I can see some cassettes in the background too. And funny enough, both duping and cassettes are now pretty much redundant analogue relics, in this digital age we now live in. Who knows what goes on in that building and that room today? Oh well, it was a bit of a giggle. I sometimes ( only very slightly ) kind of miss sitting in that room, making slides whilst working off a hangover, possibly to a sound track of Sonic Youth and the Pixies.
