Secret London : Isokon flats

Isokon Flats (also known as Lawn Road Flats), Lawn Road, Camden NW3

Hidden away, down a side road, in-between Chalk Farm and Hampstead tube. The Isokon Flats can be found. They were designed by the Architects, Wells Coates and were opened in 1934. The flats were intended as a social and architectural experiment in minimalist modern urban living. Kind of like a live in Ipod of its time I guess. Agatha Christie, Walter Gropius ( founder of the Bauhaus ), and Henry Moore have all once taken up residency here. I believe the building was left to slowly deteriorate after WW2 and was only fully restored, just a few years ago.
