The Circus is coming to town...

Woolworths in Leytonstone

I’ve had the week off. Didn’t go anywhere any special, more of an admin week I guess.

The fearless zombie killer

I got invited to shoot Zombies at Hamleys last week. Courtesy of Nerf guns.
I have to say, It was pretty ace. I got a free gun too. Yep, it was a good look, taking a toy gun home at 11 o’clock at night.

The Beeb.

I went to see the Jonathan Ross show, being filmed at the BBC television centre yesterday.
It was a star studded line up. Featuring Alan Davis, Eva Mendes, Barry Manilow and Jamie T. It will be aired on BBC 1 this evening. If you’re watching, I’ll be roughly in the middle of the audience. However, I don’t think they really film audience.

Tucked away in the BBC building and could have easily been missed. I noticed Gordon The Gopher, on display. I would have been 11 when Gordon was first introduced to Children’s BBC. So, it was kinda cool to see him.

Duping ghosts.

I was in the area. So, I decided to have a little peep, down the old Mews. The time had gone well past 8 o’clock. However, the light was still on, so I took a few photos.

Last one out. Don’t forget to switch off the Jobo.

Scream they last Scream

This is a poster that you had to collect from the 1980s comic, Scream. I have had this wrapped up and hidden away. I’ve only recently dug it out. I did a little internet research on the comic and discovered a few interesting facts about its heritage.
It was published by ( low and behold ) IPC in 1985, and was published in the good old Kings Reach Tower. The comic only lasted 15 issues and a few websites claim various reasons for its short life. One being down to its grizzly nature and another, blaming the 1980s writers/publishing strikes. However, a few of its characters survived and lived on in the re-vamped Eagle. It’s a similar story, and dare I say it, to the Wickerman film.
