Made it through the snow on Sunday to catch the Henry Brothers, down at the What’s Cookin’ night in the North Star. I was so impressed, I bought their CD - Death Is Only A Dream.
I first heard Daniel Knox from seeing him perform at the Twisted Christmas event, that was curated by Jarvis Cocker. Since then, Mr Knox has been a regular on my iPod... If you live in London and your catching a late tube, then may I recommend that you select him for your theme tune home. Especially now that the trains will be full of hapless office Christmas party goers. You can view some of Daniel Knox’s work on the iTunes sight, Ghostsong is his most recent track and at 99p to download, I guess you cant really go wrong, can you. Enjoy.
The Sir Alfred Hitchcock Hotel is pretty much a hidden secret. I’m not too sure if they had planned it that way, but it does have a Hitchcock creepy eeriness to it. It’s also a bit of an effort to get to too. Via a morbid subway, or via a dual cartridge way. This is probably why it’s not too popular of late, it also doesn’t help when they play mindless trance music on a week night. Still, they do do a pretty decent Sunday roast.
