The search for Harry Lime.

I have just spent the weekend in Vienna. Now if your of a certain age, then the first thing that pops into your mind when mentioning Vienna is the Ultravox song, ‘Vienna’.
However, I was lucky enough to stumble across the film ‘The Third Man’ Directed by Carol Reed from a screenplay by Graham Greene and it stars Orson Wells as an interesting character, going by the name of Harry Lime. If you like your films, then may I suggest renting it out. It’s a classic after all.

Here is a pic from Vienna to keep you amused till I edit through my pictures.

Danke schoen.

Shoe shopping in Whitstable

The carpet is actually worn out. They must have sold a lot of shoes in their time.

German night.

Bored with the cold and dull weather that we’ve been having in England lately. Then why not spice up a mid week evening with some foreign food delicacies. Here are some pics from my German night. Yes, it’s all bit 1970s but hey, what’s wrong with that.
I got the food from a German deli on Borough market, it’s near the Paul Smith shop if you know the area. I also bought a 1920/30s cabaret
CD from Amazon too. The opening track, Music Music, Music by Maika Rokk, sounds very familiar to the Muppet show music, hmm...
Obviously, German beer and wine was purchased too.

Anyhow. It was an over all success. So, I shall be planning something of similar ilk pretty soon.

Cat man do.

I noticed this in a local junk shop. for some reason I didn't buy it... I only took a photo of it.
The trouble is I'm not too sure where I would hang such a work of art. However, it is an ace picture. Click on the image to veiw it on a larger scale if you like.

I might add it to facebook later, then tag loads of people into the picture.

I'm not to sure who originally painted it, or what year it is from.
Any ideas, let me know.
