The towers of London

This a view from the Nat West Tower, looking over the Barbican with the Post Office Tower to the right. This could become quite a habit.

ATP curated by Pavement

Obviously, watching Pavement is a good thing and the ATP festival is always good for catching bands that you’re not always familiar with. Mark Eitzel, formerly of American Music Club stuck out for me. I’ve always pressed skip half way through their tracks that are on my iPod, just never been in the right state to listen to them. Luckily, Mr Eitzel’s set wooed me over. Check out the track ‘The windows of the world’.

Another ATP quirk, is that they have ATP TV. Two TV channels playing over the weekend, one put together by Pavement and another by the ATP organisers. I kept the TV listings, I’ll post them up later on.

PS, the Fall were pretty ace too.

Here’s a picture of me posing like a wanker at the recent ATP.
With the power of Photoshop skills, I’ve transformed an ordinary colour jpg into a 1993/4 retro looking band shot.

Meanwhile, back to the future. A full picture lo-down of the event will follow sometime this week.

The BT Telecom Post Office Tower Thingy.

I had the pleasure to visit the Post Office Tower last week. Mind Blowing views of London and then, it started revolving as the sun was setting. Ace!
Having grown up, lived and worked pretty much all of my life inside the A406, The views of the London skyline become slightly more personal.
I.E. From having worked here, to having once lived there and to having once been sick in a bin over there.

Fulham v Westham 3-2

3-2 to Fulham. Oh well, what with all the coverage of players going up sale and so forth. I'm surprised that any of them where in the right frame of mind to play at all.
Due to to Hull result ( they drew ), the Hammers' are now safe.
