The Mad Men Zone

I've started watching Mad Men. I watched a couple of episodes but then left it alone. However, I've now committed myself to it. I find two episodes at a time is a good way to digest it now that colder nights are drawing in. I'm still on season 1.

Eine's V the Ripper.

At the back of Liverpool street away from the fashionistas, you’ll find yourself in Jack the Ripper country. If you have never been on a Jack the Ripper walk then may I suggest going on one, especially if you’re a Hammer film fan. Meanwhile, on a quite Sunday with most of the local shops shutters being down, the artist Ben Eine’s seems to dominate the landscape. I’ve never been on an urban graffiti walk to know if they’re of any interest or not, maybe I’ll look into going on one at some point?

Piccadilly Circus in the rain.

This was part of the Regent's Street festival that took place on Sunday: Yes, a lawn in the middle of the road.

I bet you these two are really hungover whilst working their Saturday/Sunday job. And now, their Boss has got them to dance in the shop window: I think I'd go home, curl up and cry if I was one of those two.

The Village Green Preservation Society

There’s a campaign going on to try and save Walthamstow’s EMD cinema. Visit the McGuffin website for more details.
If I recall as a kid, I saw Break Dance 2 and Dune there. Good times.

The Wedding Party.

I went to a wedding on Saturday. I used to go to college with the Groom, when I was about 17. This was roughly about the same time that I first met the Bride but through hanging out in different circles. I guess It can be a small world sometimes, cant it?

Crazy Horse

A couple of photos from last Sunday. I took the picture of the horse at Wanstead Park.
I don't know about you, but I'm beginning to feel that Autumn is now upon us.

Matt LeBlanc is a Wilco fan

Went to the Wilco gig at the Royal Festival Hall. I was sitting quite near the front, so I became fully absorbed into the groove. We noticed Matt LeBlanc there too, yep that chap from friends. We spotted him in the lift earlier and it was all like - ‘hey, that’s that Joey chap’. Then he was sitting quite close to us at the gig and then it was all – ‘Hey, Matt LeBlanc is a Wilco fan’ . I thought he had that Hollywood actor glow. I.E. Not your typical actor from East Enders.
The chap circled, he kept taking pictures on he’s phone. The security kept telling him off and at first, this was annoying... As in this burly-bloke was being annoying and why couldn’t he just turn his phone off? After a while, I viewed him as a Wilco art installation and then thought what the fuck. He’s having a good time, let him do what he likes. Power to the people.

Obviously, me taking pictures willy-nilly is okay.

Ground control to Major Tomoland.

Navigated into the world of Tomoland yesterday, for he’s 40th. Good times were had and I bumped into a few people I haven’t seen for a while too. For a Monday, that’s pretty good going.
One more thing, my little cameras focus system seemed to jam up. So, it's back to using the old Lumix then.

T.G.I. Friday's on a Thursday.

Paid a visit to T.G.I Friday’s last night. They played some Ugly Kid Joe and I ate a lot of bbq chicken wings.
Good times.

Werewolves of Camden.

Had a few jars in the Edinboro Castle in Camden last night to celebrate the return of the Boon. There was also a Rainbow in the sky to greet me from the tube too.

A festival at the end of the Central Line.

Offset Festival, Hainault Forest.

House of Schtinter : Egyption Hip Hop : Comanchi and Art Brut all stood out from the fashionista brigade for me.

Hainault facts: Magic mushrooms grow here; There’s a big tube-train yard and I once had the opportunity to walk around it when I was at school; Oh, and E
ric Bristow once lived near by, well so I was once told.
