Herne Bay

Woke up Sunday with the weather looking good. Well, according to my iPhone. So, from this we decided to take Barbra on a trip to Herne Bay. We walked from Herne Bay to Whistable and back, via a pub roast. We worked out that we had walked over 10 miles. Crikey.
Herne Bay has a weird 70s relic of a pier. Reminded me of a packet of silver Lambert and Butler cigarettes, can you still buy them?
One more thing. Can you spot Nick Cotton and Bob Hope in the mural?

Looking for fun and feeling groovy.

Spent a long weekend in Switzerland. The first part involved helping out with a spot of baby sitting in the town of Winterthur.
The parents were attending lectures by Master Jeffrey C. Yuen. He’s very big in Chinese Medicine circles.

This was followed by a day spent in Zurich. Having never been to Switzerland and Zurich before I followed my instincts and just wondered about the place.
Luckily for me, my instincts are in good working order and we managed to stumble across some great sights; bars included. There’s also a bit of a kooky Euro 70s thing going on in Zurich. What with that and knowledgeable dude abiding bar staff, I kind of felt like I was in my very own Big Lebowksi film.

Check out the Alexander hotel, Sigmare Polke’s amazing stained glass windows at the Grossm√ľnster Cathedrals and pay a visit to the Zuri Bar.

I can see for Giles and Giles.

These photos were from the other week. It was Cormac's girlfriend's (Katy) Birthday.
A few beers were sunk at the Enterprise pub, Camden. The Gilesy-beast made an appearance too. I don't think I've seen him since James' Stag Do.
Notice the ghost hand that's about to tap Cormac on the shoulder, clearly a sign that Halloween is on its way.

Green Tomatoes

After a week in incubation, the banana method didn't seem to be working very well. I had a few turn red but over all, I think I may have had to many tomatoes trying to compete for the banana's attention. However, I've been informed that one can make a green tomato chutney. All is not lost my little green friends.

Everybody's gone surfing.

Taking advantage of the freaky weather, I decided to take Barbara for a spin to the beach. This time it was a trip to Leigh-On-Sea. 99 Flakes were eaten and I felt mildly sun burnt by the time I got home. For the 10th of October in England, that's pretty weird...
The mural was part of the local BTEC first Diploma in Design students handy work. I did that course elsewhere when I was 16. I shot my first roll of B/W film there, followed by the whole darkroom process. Looking at my bank balance these days, maybe I should have chosen a career in accounting. If I can find any photo projects of that period, then I'll upload them.
