Are you going to Stoneydown Park

Walthamstow Folk Club festival 2012.  at Stoneydown Park
Bands on the day included: Steve O'Kane and Fiona McBain -Danny & Rosie Pedler-Butler-Hall - Steve White & The Protest Family - Will O'Donoghue - The Clean Peas.

For those of you that are local, then check out The What's Cookin' festival that will be happening in a couple of weeks time. If you're planning on going then I'd advise taking along a camping chair and a poncho as you can never quite tell what our weather will be playing at these days.

Bobby Moore : Boleyn ground, 1962

Part of my job is finding old photos that people have never seen or have simply forgotten about. Some of these images will be lucky enough to get an airing on whatever editorial pages I might be working on whilst others will sadly lay dormant. I spotted this image the other week.

Caption reads: England and West Ham's Booby Moore * trains alone at a deserted Upton Park on a Sunday morning before flying out with the England team for the 1962 World Cup finals in  Chile. The photo is credited to Glittle Rex Features
