Portrait sitting

I took a few portraits for some friends over the weekend. I opted for a one light set up, firing a Bowens Prolite flash through an umbrella with a white backdrop. Pictured is a rough idea of my set up and also pictured is one of my sitters, Teddy.
For you camera geeks, Teddy is holding a Voigtländer Brillant which predates the Lomo 's focusing method. I picked the camera up from Ebay as somebody was selling their Dad's camera that he used in WW2. I felt that it deserved a good home.

Growing pains

This is where it all begins in the allotment world. Starting with tomatoes I've gone for  Moneymaker, Alicante and Cherry all being the F1 variety, apparently these (F1) are disease resilient.

Stick in the Wheel review Uncut magazine

I shot a review for the Stick In The Wheel gig for this months Uncut magazine.  It's available in all good news agents and tuck shops.

Luckily we got to Gothenburg a few days after the big freeze. This involved temperatures of -15 with  over a foot of snow settling in one night. I've included a pic in the post below from Varberg where some parts of the sea had frozen over. It was about -6 when I was there, further north was around -30...  I picked up a good Swedish tip. Woollen socks on first, followed by cotton socks. Shame I don't own any woollen socks.
