The Tate Britain are celebrating 60 years of David Hockney. Tickets are allocated to time slots, so it's not too over crowded, thus letting you enjoy this mans talents. If you want to geek out on Hockney, then maybe book a ticket for a Monday or Tuesday morning.
I do enjoy Hockney's photography and I love how he looks at things as a photographer - graphic designer. Room 12 is dedicated to his iPad/tablet work, where you can see how he puts his compositions together, as mentioned go on a quiet day and you can really appreciate this. In another room, one of his sketch titles was called A Leisurely Lunch, which for me kind of feels long over due. So like life imitating art, I'll be booking one of those in.
